Rules for renting bikes and city cars

By confirming the booking of a bike or car, you automatically agree to the following rules of operation of Balico.
1.1 The minimum rental period in our company is 7 days. We can provide a vehicle for a shorter period, however, the cost of the service will be as much as 7 days. The term of the lease must be agreed in advance and specified in the contract. If you want to extend the rental period, please contact us no later than 48 hours before the end of the rental to clarify the possibility and cost of the extension.
1.2. To book a bike, you must provide a photo/scan of your passport, driver’s license, delivery address and time, information about helmets (number and size). This information must be provided at least 48 hours before the start of the rental, so that we can deliver the vehicle on time.
1.3 For guaranteed booking of a vehicle, you need to make a deposit: $50 for a bike and $100 for a car. Check with the manager for the details for the payment. Advance prepayment for the reservation goes towards the rent, on delivery you just need to pay the rest. Deposit is not refundable in case of cancellation initiated by customer.
1.4. Free delivery is available between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM for bikes and 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM for cars. Free delivery zone includes Canggu, Umalas, Kuta, Semenyak, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Bukit, South part of Ubud. Delivery to more remote areas is carried out for an additional fee and is agreed in advance with the manager.
1.5 If the tenant does not have the opportunity to return the vehicle personally, it is necessary to notify our manager in advance to agree on the return procedure.
1.6 Payment in full must be made upon receive the vehicle.
1.7 If you already in Bali and did not pre-book a bike or car, then we will try to promptly deliver the selected vehicle, subject to availability, or offer an alternative.
1.8 In case of early termination of rent at the initiative of the client, we refund 50% of the cost of the remaining rental period. Refunds are not possible in case of rental for a minimum period (up to 7 days), as well as if more than 12 days have passed since the current rental period (at a fixed rate).
1.9 The vehicle rental agreement should be signed after payment in full directly upon delivery.
2.1. Balico provides two types of motorcycle insurance: “without insurance” and “with full insurance”. Full insurance covers damage resulting from an accident/fall and theft of a vehicle, without excess and deposit. The type of insurance for each vehicle will be written in the rental agreement.
2.2. For all rental cars, we provide standard insurance with a maximum customer liability (excess) at no additional charge. We don’t take deposit upfront for for city cars. When picking up a car in Bali, you only need to pay the cost of renting the selected model and additional services (child seat, etc.), if any. The tenant’s liability under the insurance excess should be paid only in case of accident. The amount of the insurance excess must be specified in the rental agreement and depends on the model of the selected car:
- for Agya, Brio, Raize, Avanza, Xenia, Terios — 500 USD.
- for HRV old, Xpander, XL7, BRV — 700 USD.
- for Honda HRV new, Innova Reborn — 1000 USD.
- for Wuling Almaz — 1500 USD.
- for Innova Zenix, Fortuner, Pajero — 2000 USD.
2.3. The cost of damage within the limits specified in the deductible agreement must be paid by the tenant. Damage in excess of the insurance deductible is covered by Balico’s insurance.
2.4. If you wish, you can additionally purchase extended insurance for a rented car covering any damage and theft. The cost of full insurance depends on the car model and the rental period, check with our managers for more details.
2.5. Insurance for cars and motorcycles does not cover damage in the following cases:
Damage to tires due to a puncture or cut due to the fault of the tenant, the tenant is responsible for repairing the damage (gluing, inflating the tire). If the tire needs to be replaced due to wear (no markings, worn tread, the tire itself is torn), then this is the responsibility of Balico.
Necessary replacement of the battery or charging the battery due to its complete discharge due to the fault of the tenant (forgot to off headlight etc.).
Intentional damage to the vehicle.
Using the vehicle off roads (for example, beach, mountains, field, jungle, etc.).
2.6. In the event of an incident in which the rental vehicle is damaged, the client is obliged to notify Balico within 24 hours of the accident and provide the necessary information. If the necessary information was not provided within the allotted time, the tenant assumes all responsibility for damage.
2.7. It is forbidden to repair the rented vehicle independently or in any service (including official dealers) without permission from Balico. Our company will not cover the cost of repairs made without agreement, and also has the right to impose a fine on the tenant in the amount of 100 USD + the amount of damage caused.
2.8. The renter is fully responsible in case of damage to a third party as a result of the incident.
2.9. The renter is fully responsible for the vehicle and any consequences caused by the transfer of the vehicle to a third party not specified in the rental agreement.
2.10. The renter is fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle when leaving public roads (for example, beach, mountains, field, jungle, etc.).
2.11. In case of loss or significant damage to a motorcycle helmet, the renter is obliged to reimburse the cost of buying a new analogue so that the next client also gets a great helmet.
2.12. In case of loss of the vehicle key, the tenant is obliged to reimburse the cost of restoring a new analogue.
2.13. If the car or motorcycle equipment was provided along with the original registration of the vehicle, then in case of loss of documents, the client will be charged a fine of $100.
2.14. In the event that the renter violates the terms of this agreement, Balico has the right to immediately pick up the vehicle without refunding the rental price.
2.15. Balico is not responsible for damage, loss, injury and death caused to the renter or by the renter to other road users, drivers or passengers involved in accidents. Balico shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to issues beyond the Company’s reasonable control, including but not limited to administrative action, fire, flood, epidemic, war, riot and terrorism. Balico is not responsible for any illegal activity or activity against the law of the Republic of Indonesia.
3.1. Officially, in Indonesia, to drive a bike or car, you must have a valid driver’s license with the appropriate category. The driver must be over 18 years of age.
3.2. We deliver all rental equipment with 50% of the gas tank capacity and expect to see the same amount of fuel when returning the equipment.
3.3. Re-registration of the agreement for another renter with the preservation of the current lease terms is possible for an additional fee of $20.
3.4. All vehicles provided for rent in our company are rented without a mileage limit.
3.5. It is forbidden to leave the island of Bali on rented equipment it.
3.6. Balico office hours in Bali: 08:00 – 19:00 Bali time (UTC/GMT +8 hours). We work every day, without holidays and weekends, during the whole working day our Russian-speaking managers are available by all means of communication indicated on the site.
Rules for renting luxury cars

1.1 All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and be over 18 years of age.
1.2 The minimum rental period for exclusive vehicles in our company is 1 day.
1.3 Late returns beyond the contract time will incur a fee of 10% of the daily rental cost for each additional hour.
1.4 Rental vehicles are not permitted to leave the island of Bali.
1.5 Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
1.6 To book a vehicle, you must provide a photo or scanned copy of your passport, driver’s license, delivery address, and delivery time
1.7 A 50% deposit is required for guaranteed bookings, except for same-day reservations. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled by the customer before the rental period begins.
1.8 Free delivery is available for rentals of 3 days or more between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM to the following areas: Canggu, Umalas, Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, and Jimbaran. Delivery to more distant areas incurs additional charges and must be arranged in advance with the manager.
1.9 Full payment must be made upon receipt of the vehicle.
1.10 If you contact us while already on Bali or haven’t reserved a vehicle in advance, we will do our best to deliver the selected vehicle based on availability, or offer an alternative.
1.11 No refunds will be issued for early rental terminations initiated by the customer.
1.12 The vehicle rental agreement will be signed upon full payment at the time of delivery in Bali, in accordance with our company’s policies.
2.1 All exclusive vehicles are rented without insurance, and the renter is fully responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle. A refundable deposit is charged at the time of rental, the amount of which depends on the specific vehicle model.
2.2 Any damage or loss resulting from use or traffic accidents is the renter’s responsibility and must be paid in full, plus an additional 50% of the rental cost for the time required for repairs. If the vehicle is lost or damaged beyond 50%, the renter must pay 100% of the vehicle’s value within 2 business days. In this case, the rented vehicle becomes the property of the renter.
2.3 In the event of an incident involving the rented vehicle, the renter must notify Balico within 24 hours of the accident and provide the necessary information.
2.4 Unauthorized repairs to the rented vehicle are strictly prohibited without the permission of Balico.
2.5 The renter is fully responsible for any damage caused to third parties as a result of an incident.
2.6 The renter is responsible for the vehicle and any consequences arising from transferring the vehicle to any third party not specified in the rental agreement.
2.7 The renter is liable for any damage to the vehicle sustained when driving off public roads (e.g., beaches, mountains, fields, jungles, etc.).
2.8 In case of lost keys, the renter must cover the cost of a replacement.
2.9 If the vehicle was provided with the original registration documents, the renter will be charged the full replacement cost if the documents are lost.
2.10 If the renter breaches any terms of this agreement, Balico has the right to immediately reclaim the vehicle without refunding the rental cost.
2.11 Balico is not liable for any damages, losses, injuries, or death incurred by the renter or other road users involved in accidents. Balico is not responsible for any inability to fulfill its obligations due to issues beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to administrative actions, fires, floods, epidemics, war, riots, and terrorism. Balico shall not be liable for any illegal activities or actions against the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
3.1 All vehicles must be fueled exclusively with Pertamax Turbo gasoline.
3.2 The fuel level upon returning the vehicle must match the original level. If the fuel is lower than at the time of delivery, the renter must pay for the difference.
3.3 All rental vehicles from our company come with unlimited mileage.
